Important Rider Information
The best way to use UC Merced CatTracks Shuttle system:

Have UC Merced Identification Card or pass with you and ready to show the driver. When paying cash, please have EXACT change in hand ready to deposit in the fare box before boarding the bus. This will aid CatTracks and save time. The driver does NOT carry change!

Passengers without a UC Merced ID or a pass can board and pay the $2.00 fare.

To catch CatTracks, find the nearest marked sign or location and position yourself near the sign or location so the driver knows that you want to ride.

CatTracks strives to run an on-time service, can not wait for riders who are not at stops at the scheduled departure times. CatTracks recommends riders arrive at their stop locations 5 to 10 minutes before the scheduled departure times.

Transfers
CatTracks provides transfer points to two transit systems:

1. “The Bus” of Merced, using the C-line at Merced College. This transfer will enable you to go to the downtown area during the week between the hours of 7am-6pm.
2. Amtrak train station using the E-line downtown loop. This transfer will enable you to go to almost anywhere in California.

Please check your schedule for these times and routes. Also, please remember that the fares for these companies are not included in your student fees like CatTracks is. However, feel free to call either of these two companies and inquire about certain programs and discounts for students.
